After graduation,
Kelly landed a job as a Production Assistant in Nashville,
where she produced a variety of country music videos.
"Nashville was a marvelous springboard for my career.
Budgets were limited, and I was able to master every
aspect of film production, from fetching coffee to actually
shooting, set design and lighting. I was even called
upon to help cast and create ideas for the shoots themselves."
After two
years, Frazier got the opportunity she had dreamed of
- to work on a movie. She was soon back in Texas coordinating
the entire shoot of a succession of popular films, including
Desperado, Dead Man's Walk and Streets of Laredo. Eventually,
Kelly and her business partner successfully launched
a casting company in Texas, and proceeded to cast almost
every subsequent production in the state of Texas! A
brief stint in the restaurant business proved to Kelly
once and for all that she was cut out for the film industry.
And she has never looked back.
In her distinguished
career, Kelly has covered a lot of ground. Literally.
Shooting all over the world, while working with the
best in the business on commercials, music videos, television
series and movies, she has emerged a polished, focused
and dynamic force. From A to Z, Frazier has demonstrated
an uncanny mastery of production.
This native
Texan now calls Los Angeles home and can be found producing
independent films. Her film The Zeros, recently won
the Audience Award and runner up for the Jury Award
at the South by Southwest Film Festival. She is currently
writing a screenplay based on the true-life story of
her father's landmark legal victory and is getting ready
to start production on another independent film in the
fall of 2005.
